Police publicity posters top of the bill

without comments

Hot off the press from our large format digital printer are some eye catching publicity posters for Avon and Somerset Constabulary. The posters were designed and printed in house and aimed at recruiting youngsters to the North Somerset Volunteer Police Cadets.

PC Ray Bradley came to Create with a tight deadline but the job was turned around quickly and as a result, applications to become a Police Cadet have been ‘pouring in’. He told us the high quality posters had ‘impressed me, my colleagues and whole of the Corporate Communications Team at Police Headquarters’. We were pleased to help the local initiative.

Bristol Mshed shortlisted for major sign award

with one comment

Our signs at Mshed museum in Bristol have been shortlisted for Best Multiple Sign Project at the Sign & Digital UK Awards 2012. The awards recognise and celebrate innovation, creativity and achievements in the UK sign making and digital printing industry.

Create Signs implemented all signage for the building from designs produced by Bath-based heritage specialists SteersMcgillanEves. The museum re-opened in July 2011 after 5 years of refurbishment and has received massive acclaim with visitor numbers exceeding expectations . Create were subsequently delighted to be announced as sign supplier to Bristol City Council later in the year.

The range of signage required for the project was considerable and included digital print, vinyl wall graphics, banners, large illuminated architectural lettering, wayfinding signs, Braille and tactile signage, exhibition graphics, display holders and metalwork barriers with graphics. Described as ‘Bristol’s very own Smithsonian’, the Mshed is a museum dedicated to telling the amazing history of the city of Bristol through the objects and stories of the people who have made the city what it is today. As one of the UK’s most innovative and ambitious museum developments, Mshed has been nominated and short-listed for the coveted European Museum of the Year Award 2012.
